Help! installing C7 suspension

I bent up the rear suspension from my 1993 mach 1, and needed to buy another suspension. I could not find any other mach 1's so i bought a very similar one from a 1996 formula III 600.

I attempted to install it myself, and I got the front in, bolted up the "shock bar" and placed the shock on the swayarm.

My problem is when I go to mount the swayarm to the tunnel bracket, the suspension lifts up and touches the rear idler wheels. There is also lots of surplus track.

the front of the suspension seems not to even come down, and be fairly tight to the tunnel. The tensioner strap is not tight in any way, so thats not preventing it.

Please give some insight as to what I am doing wrong.

Between 1993 and 1996 there was a chassis change; were you told it would be a drop in fit?

You are right, the PRS/C7 had a limiter bolt/nut arrangement.

See free art work.

Your best bet is to make sure the track lengths are the same, then measure the bolt holes from the drive shaft (R1 and R2) and down from the top of tunnel (H1 and H2). If you don't have the donor sled, find a similar model. Compare to your sled. R1 and R2 must be very close while H1 and H2 can vary somewhat.

If they are different, move the existing support brackets or install new ones.

ok i did the measurements and it is not compatible. Would have to move front mounting bracket, and its over my head to do that stuff. (at least i can admit that lol)

I am going to use the bearings and wheels off the new skid and begin to rebuild mine (bearings on new skid have 300 miles)

What i do need now is a list of PRS sleds that use the limiter bolt/nut setup. any help would be appreciated
