oil light on when brake pressed

when i press the brake,my oil light comes on.even when the sled is not moving and is at stop.so the oil level has nothing to do with this.i am sure its a bad ground somewhere but if somone had that prob,it could save me time.

What kind of sled do you have? On my Summit, the low oil, and the parking brake light are the same indicator light. So whenever I touch my brake that red light comes on. If the light stays on, even when you're not pressing the brake, then you have low oil.

the light comes on with the brake simply to ensure that it it functioning, i dont use the light as a indicater that the oil is low, i top off every gas fill

Also serves as a parking brake reminder.

Had the same question on my Ski Doo when I bought it. The manual says that is the way it should operate. Actually kind of smart. My Arctic cat doesn't do that nor does it have a temp guage which comes in handy on trail rides. Both my sleds are the same year and the Ski Doo just seems to do things a little bit more intuitively than the cat. Kind of like an American car vs. a European car.
