my friend with the MXZ 800 needs a new tunnel, will he have to get a new regestration cause the vins will be different? cause the vin is on the side of the tunnel?

That is a good question. I would guess... yeah he will need a new registration... or at least need to file for a change. I know the DNR in Minnesota does sometimes check to make sure the VIN on the tunnel matches the VIN on the liscence.... I would say yes, you need to contact the state liscensing bureau.
