04 ski doo rev sdi - low idle, blinking engine light

Just bought a ski doo, when i start it, it idles way down and dies. The check engine light blinks and once in a while there is a light ((( : ))) somthing like that, that will blink. I thought maby it was due to not being road in a while so i took it down the feild to see if it would come out of it, ran fine untill i hamered on the gas then it seemed to fuel cut. I checked the compression and there was 125 on both. any ideas? the sled is a 600

it is running about 500r's on the idle. I took the fuel pump out and there was a pinched line, i replaced the line and that took care of my fuel cuting problem. but it still idles low ( bout 500 ). quick question would water in the gas tank make my check engine light come on? I am thinking this might be the problem. i road it and it went fine the only problem now is when i stop it idles way down and then drops a cylinder before dying, then does not want to start. when this happened i took the plugs out and the pto side had a milky substence on it. i asumed water but was unsure about the light blinking. do you know what the light that looks like ((( : ))) that means?

((( : ))) means:
DESS/RER Pilot Lamp and Buzzer Codes
NOTE: Every time DESS/RER pilot lamp will blink, buzzer will sound.
DESS/RER pilot lamp blinking slowly (one time per 1.5 seconds)
means that a bad connection has been detected. Vehicle can not be
driven.
To check for bad connection, remove tether cord. Make sure the cap
is free of dirt or snow. Reinstall tether cord cap and restart engine. If a
blink per 1.5 seconds still occurs contact an authorized SKI-DOO dealer.
1. Free of dirt or snow
A rapid DESS/RER pilot lamp blinking 3 times per second means that
you have installed a cap with a code that MPEM of this snowmobile
was not programmed to recognize (wrong key). Vehicle can not be
driven.

DESS/RER Pilot Lamp (Red)
This lamp will light up to confirm DESS status or to indicate that snowmobile
is reversing.

Battery and spark plugs?

On my 04 rev 600 SDI there is a lil sticker that says use BR9ECS I went to the local store and told them what I have and they gave me BR9ECS-5, the gapping on the sticker says itís supposed to be .8mm what is the difference? Will that make it run and not run? And another question, does the battery have to be charged to run the machine? I have heard that it just has to have a connection to run and operate, and I have also heard that it has to have the right amount of volts or it will not operate correctly.

My check engine light problem is fixed, turns out the throttle body vacuum was plugged, and temperature sending unit was unplugged, which ever would have made that light blink, anyway that problem is done...

Now the problem is - it runs fine idles fine and everything is good. I road it down the field and runs good at low rpm, when I hit the gas it about throws me over the handle bars, (bogs, fuel cut, no fuel, hard telling) but would that be a spark plug issue or could that be the battery?

Also is it ok to run the BR8ECS? That is a hotter plug, am I going to run into any problems there?

stick with BR9ECS. The dash 5 (-5) means .5mm gap and if yours is calling for .8mm gap that could be a problem.
