I bought a track for my 87 ski-doo formula mx. It IS the right size & all(15x114), but does NOT have the 90 degree guide clips on it(my old one had them every other one) - The track has no miles on it - It just has regular clips.
My question is how important are having the guide clips? If everything is set up right on the track, do I need to install new clips? The parts guy at our local dealer said some of the new sleds dont even have them.

Check to see if the track has the rubber "knobs" that run on either side of the slides... If so, you will be just fine

Is this the 3/8" lug track? If so, it is not supposed to have clips because it's a race track (less weight).
