1997 Formula 583

Hi guys I am thinking of buying a 1997 Formula 583, it has rail and tunnel extensions, 1 1/4" track, with a brand new factory motor dropped in 2 yrs ago along with the track, i am wondering if its a good buy or not for $2000 (Canadian), it also has electric start and reverse, is there anything i should be watching out for? I've heard ALOT of good things about the Rotax 583 motor, one of the best motors from skidoo they say. The type of machine I am looking for is for deep snow riding and carving, small hill climbs, etc, and something that is good on the trails too.

Great, bulletproof machine! How long is the track?

It is a 136" track, and 1 1/4" lug, all brand new 2 yrs ago, the motor was a direct from factory motor, not a rebuild, but with that 136" track it should be good in the deep snow and on the trails.

did they say why they had to replace the engine? do you know how many miles are on it?

after checking over the sled and if everything looks good, it sounds like a good deal to me.

hey guys, not gettin' it, had a look at it today, but she had WAY to many small things wrong with it, she was a Formula Deluxe 500, but he put the 583 motor in after, well a mechanic did anyways, but it looked like an old motor, it definitely didn't look new, and it might have been. I would have got it , but like I said there was way to many little things that had to be fixed up.

Good for you. Don't jump on the first thing you see if it doesn't seem right. There will be a LOT more sleds for sale soon!
