I had both of my 1996 Ski-Doo Formula III LT trailing arms fail a month ago. The trails were a little rough, but I didn't hit anything. They looked like they rusted through.

Anyway I am looking for a good source to replace them. At the time of the initial failure I bought a set of aftermarket trailing arms which looked to be pretty nice. Less than 200 miles of non abusive riding later, one has already ripped apart where the stearing bolts up. WTF???

Anyone know a good source for new or used OEM equipment or have some other opinion?

Here's some options. The round tube design is much stronger than square tube. A friend of mine has a 2001 MXZ and has twisted or bent his trailing arms many times. He recently purchased some round tube trailing arms and we were sidehilling when he decided to lose it and ride straight down into a 4-5 foot deep ditch (basically like hitting a wall) on the side of a road. The skis hit and ended up being flexed vertically, The trailing arms had absolutely no damage. He has bent or twisted the stock trailing arms on much less than a ditch. I strongly recomend round tube design. There are many different brands and options ( like non corrosive materials such as aluminum) to choose from. Good luck!!!
