Ok fella's I am kind of new to this stuff. I currently have a 2000 MXZ 700. I love it but it is not the one for me. I learned on it and had a blast on it but now want something with more performance, more suspension travel, and one that leans better. I put almost 7000 miles onit this winter and had a blast doing so. Some might remember I installed a twist throttle and loved it at first. Now I am thinking about putting dual throttles on the new one (thumb). I am hooked! I have been riding quads and dirtbikes all my life both competitively and recreationally.....but his is my favorite so far. We got about another 3-4 foot of snow last week and where I go sledding there is still 8-10 foot base. I wouldn't mind getting one this year still but most likely in the next few weeks.

I looked at the 600HO and think thats my sled. I also looked intot he 600RS which I also like. Are there other sleds I should be looking at? Ski doo is my pref. but I can venture if there are others worth looking into. I am 6'4" and weigh 220lbs. My riding style is aggressive....not much of a trail rider. Mostly in powder and off trailing.

Coming off a 700 you may want to look at an 800. 2005 and newer MXZ-X 800 (REV)would definately meet the criteria you are looking for. The 03's are good but need upgrades that that were pretty much complete by Doo in 05. By upgrades I'm talking about rings, carb boots, PTO side seal retainer, revalving of shocks and skis. You add VF3's w/ spacers, Cudney top end kit and clutch kit, drop one tooth on top gear and you will have a rocket. My .02

I would also recomend the 800 REV. it sounds as if you would get bored of the 600 real fast.

Reason for leaning towards 600 is weight. I want something easy to toss around in powder. Also I dont care to go faster than 80. No need for me. I just like playing in big pits and track type areas. We have an abundance of play areas here. Lots of times I dont make it farther than 3 miles from truck and ride for 6+ hours. Are the 800's still light enough to toss around? I know my pals mach z and formula III's are too heavy and wrong set up for what I am looking for. I want something I willl keep for years to come. I am not a buy and sell year after year kind of guy either. I still ride all the bikes I ever had. I get attached to them and keep them forever....or so it seems. My garage has around 15 in it so far.

How about the 600RS? Damn that thing looks awesome. Looks like lots of suspension travel. I dont mind mixing gas. Is there a weight limit on it? I weigh 220lbs and love to pound them.

600 or 800 mxz HO They weigh almost exactly the same. both are listed at around 470lbs.

Rumor has it they are not making the 800's. Is this only rumor? I checked thier site ans see them listed but not for next year....this year.

Go with an 800. It seems like you already have fun on the 700, and a 600 is not that much different. The newer 800s are getting lighter and lighter.....but that's just my opinion
