mxz suspension

my sled is a 2002 mxz 800 renegade.
i was wondering if there is a way i can get it sit a little higher for a more agressive stance and better riding, and landings.
i tend to do alot of jumping and would like a setup better suited for it.

if u want a more agressive stance and a better jumping sled you have to go to a rev chassie, dont get me wrong the ZX chassies are good but the rev broke the envelope with the pyramid chassie and huge travel as well as a great rider forward position. even better is the rev XP.

ok understandable.

i have a friend that knows someone that is selling a 2005 Ski-Doo summit 550Fan.
New (last year) 136" paddle track New pistons/rings (complete top end rebuild) Clutch work (hangs with 600's up to 65mph)and comes with Jaws Performance exhaust can.

its a fan and a 550, so im a little concerned about power and cooling. im used to riding the 800 liquid cooled. how will it compare in power? will i have problems with cooling issues?

the seller is asking $3300

The 550 is a good reliable engine.
Stock can run with the big dogs with little effort, just lacks a bit in the top end.

Great looking sled with a good price.. i would jump on that if i were you.. im planning on buying a rev in the fall when i get a bit more money saved up, but im a big guy (6'3 250 pounds) so i want something with a bit more grunt like a 600 H.O or a 800..but im gonna strip all the stickers off my'n like your friend has done because i think the decals ski-doo has are horrible.

Connor.

also, i guess some helpful info would be i do alot of pow riding, boondocking, and alot of jumping. hence the reason i am switching sleds. my zx is just heavy and i could use the extra travel of the rev chassis.

if i ended up buying this sled, it would most likely get a few engine mods(the norms) and bar risers and mx bars, a litte down the road
simple mod setup.

so for what i plan on using it, is it a good sled for my choice of riding?
i also dont go very fast and dont really ride trails.

I think you will be very dissapointed going from an 800 to a 550 fan. 550's feel like noting to me and i just have a 600. You are looking at around an 80 horspower loss.

yea but if you do alot of boon docking and jumping i think you will be happy.. my dads buddy went from a 700 tripple to a 550 rev (like yours) and he loves it!.. if you want a bit more power clutch it and pipe it..
