Possible hole in piston, broken rings, blown head gasket, or broken rod.

Remove the head and see, I'll bet it's all scored to hell.

Even if nothing looks wrong it could just be worn out. But if you have absolutly no compression its somthing worse than that.

if there is no compresion the rod could be broke (broken rod you could easily tell just by pulling out the plug the piston won't go up and down) but if the piston has a small hole or the ring is broke there is usually still a little compression about 20 to 30 psi, my 93 plus 583 had a broken ring (lucky the cylinder didn't get scored the ring went out the exhaust) the skidoo dealer here said it is actually very common (not usually in the 583 but still quite common) if the cylinder is scored really bad you can get a sleeve put in but you might get lucky and the cylinder is not to bad maybe just a hone or might need to bore out .020 or .040 over
anyways good luck with your repairs
