I have a 1993 Safari and lately it seems that its been really hard on fas and unable to reach any speeds above 65 km/h. I changed the belt and put on another older belt I had which was in a little bit better condition and now it seems that it has more speed. Does anyone think that it could have that much impact on gas milage. It did seem like the motor was reving quite a bit just to get 65 km/h. I was burning about 27 litres for 90 kms. Since I put the other belt on and the speed improved I haven't really driven the ski-doo very far so I don't know if it's going to help the gas milage.
Does anyone have a tutorial on clutch cleaning, adjustments, service? I understand what a clutch is for, but these sled clutches are a bit intimidating.
Oh yeah, try a brand NEW belt. Denniskirk should have that belt for about $30 shipped.
