94 formula z

hi everyone, recently i traded a good runner srv for a 94 formula 583 blown motor, what i need is help, i have the ski-doo manual. but it is missing wiring diagrams. as well i would like a picture of a formula with the shroud open so i can put it back together. i know i am missing alot of parts and the salvage yard is my best friend. i have the motor apart and the crank at a machine shop, it is costing me $670 for a rebuild crank, all seals and gaskets, '20 over pistons with rings and new rods and bearings< i think i am getting a great deal>, any one know if i can put a starter motor on it?, does anyone have a wiring diagram? thanks in advance for your replies

well i got this machine with the 583 out of it and a fan cooled 500 in it, the guy who i got it from had the harness out of it, and the gauges all have been snipped, i need to do some rewiring but i didn't take it apart to know how to put it bake together. kinda in the dark, been looking all over the internet and cant find one. a schematic would be really helpful. i guess i should really buy a shop manual.

also, when i go to rebuild the motor, i will need to get the rotary valve timed, there are two scribe marks, but i will need a dial indicator, is this to make sure i have top dead center?

Find an airbox on eBay if you can, that way there will be no problems with carb icing, etc. Get a Clymer's manual for it too. That's the manual I have, it has wiring diagrams in the back. There is a method for timing the rotary valve, I can post it if you want, but that Clymer manual is your bible for that sled.

Something is binding. Is the spring that wraps around the hub bent?

i was looking at it and the starter pully is rubbing up against the pawl on the recoil. the only way for it not to rub is a spacer between block and the recoil. i dont have a spacer do you think i can use washers. i guess the flywheel is important. thanks again for your help. i am also using the ski doo shop manual 1994.

When you get done, you will have to really wash the motor and engine bay down

OnlineMicrofiche Index Look up your year, model, etc. Then click on carbs. That will tell you what the jetting is for the mains/pilots.
