carbs and overfueling

OK, I'm convinced my 01 mxz 800 is overfueling. Is it common for both carbs to overfuel equally? Both plugs show even sign of overfueling. What can be done to fix this. A get about 100miles on a fresh set of plugs before they need changed.
Thanks,

Start by checking your choke plungers to see if they are seized open or are not closing all the way.

I checked the choke linkage to where it connect to the one carb. Seems like that gold pin coming out of the carb is allowed to close all the way. Is there a better test, would I have to pull the carbs to check the plungers?
Thanks,

You will have to actually check that they are not sticking in the bore, and that they are able to close and seal properly.
This will mean removing them to inspect.

12mm wrench to take the nut off, then CAREFULLY pull the plunger out. If you have any resistance pulling it out, there's your problem.
