was riding a 1982 citation ss(377 rotax-twin carb) this weekend for about 15 minutes,and lost power to machine then stalled.It seems after investigating,the fan belt broke,as well as the injector throttle cable.when tried to pull start after it stalled,it seemed siezed,but after 10 mins,was able to turnover again,but with no start.Ive checked compression,and in both cylinders i have exactly 50 ps.i.Are the rings shot,or what should the compression be,andwhy no start,if i have compression /fuel and spark?why no start?????engine need to be overhauled?any input would be helpfull!!!!thanx dead c.c. owner.

At 50 psi your going to need more than rings? 50 psi is not enuff compression for it to run. Sounds like you got it hot enuff to stick it and then after cooling down you gained enuff clearence to get it to pull over. At the very least your going to have to tear it down and take a look. Let us know what you find.

Thats what i was afraid of.Im gonna start tearing it down ,i suspect i will need new rings/pistons/perhaps bore cylinder?thanx jagermiester

Probably scored the pistons/cylinders. Probably need a rebore, oversized pistons, and a top end gasket set.
