got a 98 mach z 800 triple and took of the top part of the motor to check the tops of the pistons. they are a little black on top, does this matter, some of the black scratches off, and while doing that, i noticed that the pistons all wiggle just a little, does that matter. thanks.

Both things OK. There should be a little wiggle on the pistons, the rings compress everything, the pistons need a little room to expand/contract with heat.
