longer tracks

i have a 02 mxz 800 renegade with the short track.
i want something a little longer.
somthing around the 144 mark., am i able to put a 144 track on this sled? would problably need some type of tunnel extender correct?
not a big deal, i also plan on getting a boss flat top seat.

to put on a longer track do i need all new suspension? has anyone done this on a similar sled that i could see pictures and a little info?

is it worth it? or just buy a new sled?

Check out your dealer cause I'm not sure if Ski-Doo has a factor tunnel extention kit or not. I'd imagine it can be done, but the cost may be prohibitive. You may find yourself selling that sled and upgrading to a newer long track for the same cost.

we made a 16" wide 136" track go one one, it worked awesome. custom made rail extensions and no other mods needed. the track is on ebay now for sale, still have the rail extensions sitting in the garage.

This is done all the time. You can buy parts from Tracks U.S.A. or High Performance Engineering or SlP

Its a very simple conversion really. But depending on what lug size of track you get you may need to roll your chain case or get smaller drivers, and you will most likely need drop brackets for the back of the suspension. The rest is simple.

Do you have a machine shop, or access to one?
