Average is 2-3" without extensions on most sleds.
To check for sure, make a dummy from a piece of wood and test it.

Enough so that when you turn it does not make anything rev up or bind.

i put a rsi 6" rise on my 2000 summit 700

with the 6" i bought cable and brake extenders the extended brake line the powermadd throotle extender gives you plenty of room for up to a 9" to13"rise the brake about9" i have a 6" rsi riser and 3 1/2 rsi bar and the brake cable is at its limit comfortably and the wires all had to be extended alot of wires to solder but worth it fells kind of funny when sitting down so i am going to get the 3" rise boss shorty seat
