Not Running Right?

hey guys, I am stumped on my problem. I have a 96 FIII 600 but the son of a gun wont stay running. I just rebuilt the engine and put it all together and in. At first I thought it was a fuel problem, but got the fuel going to the carbs no problem. So I cleaned the carbs, and thank god I did. So everything is clean and it starts with the choke on. But how long should that choke be on for? It will run with the choke on, but once i take it off it stalls almost immidiately. Also when its running there is a ticking noise.. something to do with the clutch? or anything?.. any suggestions or anything I can check please let me know, thanks for the help guys.. Cheers

Yup, pilot jets are still plugged. Go to the how-to's in the engine section for a detailed carb cleaning tutorial.
