Hunter 2003

A real newbie here, I have a 700 Formula Deluxe 2002 and when I press the accelerator I hear a repetitive sound...like a clunk!!! Now I don't know what is the causing of this sound. I thought it was the belt. So I changed it but the sound is still there when I accelerate. and when I brake.. Help...Could someone explain to me where this sound is coming from? Once going, like after the take off, I could accelerate and I don't get this sound ??? (My machine is also studded if this makes any difference- 96 studs)

I have a '02 700 Summit and when I take off from a stop sometimes I can hear the clutch engage. Kind of a metal to metal clack (just one) like it would sound if you hit two hammers together, not really hard. Suppose to be normal. Sometimes I can hear the cams rattling around in there a little too. Don't know if this is what you might be hearing.
Never ridden anything with a studded track, so I can't offer anything there.

Sounds like the clutch. See if your dealer has any kind of clutch lube to minimize the amount of resistance the clutch has when it moves.
