Exclamation 1998 Ski-Doo Touring LE. I am having problems with it.

I have a 1998 Ski-Doo Touring LE 440. This snowmobile started to have problems yesterday. When I press on the throttle, it tries to kill the engine. If it does manage to throttle up, it has to be almost at max RPMs to move the track. Also, there is blue smoke coming out of the exhaust. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?
Any help would be appreciated.

I just bought it Friday. The guy I bought it from said the carbs were cleaned last season. I'm fairly new to snowmobiles, so I don't know much about them. My younger brothers were riding it yesterday, and when they tried to make a U turn, they heard a pop. They thought it was probably the drive belt. I checked it, and it seemed fine.
The major strange sound comes from the exhaust side of the engine.
If it is plugged up, how can I tell?

Sounds like a backfire. Probly have something in a carb or one cylinder is not firing.

How can I figure out what is wrong?
Also, the engine sounds a lot quieter until I rev it up, then is has almost a popcorn sound.

Replace the plugs. One should be all wet/oily. That's the bad one.

It is getting spark, and running on both cylinders. I just talked to a neighbor, he said sounds to him like water in the carbs.
On a sled like that, how do I remove the carbs to check?

Possible water problem, put in some Seafoam and just drain the bowls of the carbs.

Some of them have a plug in the bottom, but if not, you will have to remove the carb to do so.

There is a large nut on the bottom of the carbs, remove that to drain them. It's a 17mm nut.

Okay. I drained both carbs. It runs better now, but it has almost no power. I have to squeeze the throttle in all the way to get the sled moving, and it won't go over 25.

i would remove all of the old gas, and put in fresh with a can of seafoam. and remove and clean the carbs. this should fix it.
