96 Formula 500 L/C won't start

Hi everyone,
Newbie here with a problem, hope some one can help me out. My 96 500 L/C sat for two seasons, a couple of weeks ago I decided to get it going, finally we have snow, so I emptied out the gas tank and took the carbs of and cleaned thoroughly. Also pumped fresh fuel thru the pump to make sure it was clean. When I try to start it it will either back fire or it seems to bind up when it wants to fire. I have an electric start. First when I pulled the plugs they where getting wet, I assumed the crank case had gotted full of bad gas so I blew it out. When I pulled the plugs and watch for spark I noticed that the both plugs fire at the same time ? So my thought is seeing it is backfiring and binding up when it is due to fire that the CDI box is bad ? Has any one else run into this and could I be right about the cdi. This sled always ran great until it sat. Thanks in advance for your imput. Sorry for such a long question, but I wanted to give as much info as I could.

The plugs both fire at the same time (every 180 degrees) with the electronic ignition of the new sleds.

Spark is right, wet plugs are not. Replace the plugs and try to start it with NO choke.

I figured I'd give every one an update. My gut feeling was right, it turned out to be the cdi box. I got an aftermarket one from Al's and it started right up. Thanks for a great forum.
