Ok, so on my new sled (1990 formula mx 467) i bought it not-running from the guy. he said that when he was riding, the lights went really bright, then dim, and everything shut off. Well, i replaced the oil resevoir today, because he broke it, then tried to tell why it didn't have spark.
First pull, however, theres spark! get everything in, new plugs, got it ready to fire it up, and three pulls later it's running!

The light all work, and obviously it has spark now. The guy had said wires burned on the exhuast, but there was just some going up to the hood that had rubbed through. however, this would not cause engine to die. so what could it be?
One theory i have is, lights grounded out at the same time as the plugs or something went bad. He was not very mechanical, and was using old/used plugs from something else. either that, or he exagerated how much the lights were going bright then dim. I just don't know. Any suggestions?
SIDE NOTE. it doesn't run perfect. I think it's a fuel problem though, because it's bogging and i have to bump throttle a couple times to get it to rev. Also, it bogs when the track starts to spin on a stand. however, maybe it's related?
