Picked up a 96 Mxz 583, decent condition for $600. Major problem with the sled is the front rear shock blew out and ripped the brand new track down the middle all the way around. So I will have to replace it. Minor cosmetics and a broken primer will be fixed as well. Does anyone know where I can get a new seat cover for this sled that has the Ski-Doo or MXZ logo on it? All in all for $600 I got a hell of a deal. Time to sell the old SRV.

my buddie has a 96 mxz 585 nice sled.. if you payed 600 you got a GREAT DEAL!.. its werid tho when i race him with my 93' formuls plus 580 i kill him off the start and in top end
but amazing deal non the less!!

Its quite possible the clutches are set up different. Also maybe he never cleans his R.A.V.E. valves, ive seen amazing differences in the sleds when theyre cleaned vs. not.

Will post some pics of the goods and bads of this sled within a week or so.

I'm trying to find some touch up paint for the big crack in the hood near the left strap.

The more i dig into this sled, the more I find out what is wrong. If anyone has a front rear suspension shock for an SC-10 for sale, PLEASE let me know! And if anyone has a decent primer for sale please inform me too.

yea my buddie mike got his for1400$! It had ALOT of problems he had top get new coil rebuild the carbs, gas lines and filter. He had to mess around with the rave valves and the hardest thing was to get the jetting right because the previouse owner cut to big holes in the air cleaner to let more air in and it scerewed the air feul mixture up. It was running really bad and by the end of the season he finally got it running awsom.
there a good sled dont give up on it.

Well other than the primer problem, the sled seems to run great. Doesn't hesitate or anything.
