bring back to life

I have an OLD skidoo 440 TNT that has been in storage for a few years. It was parked after I got a newer sled but now I would like to get it running over the summer. My question is, I would like to replace the tillotson carb. (1) with a mikuni. How do-able is it, keeping in mind the book value of such an old warrior. What size carb, etc. is required? Thx.

Your best bet is to match the carb size to the one that is on it. Make sure that the jet size is the same or the next size larger.
You will also have to drill a hole in the block to attach a pulse line to to run a fuel pump.

there is nothing wrong with the older til's, why would you want to mess around and risk blowing up a good sled? re-build the tillotsen and run it a few times a year.

Is there any reason you want to do with? I'm going to have to agree with uper on this one.

Not really any good reason, just that the tilly seemed too be tempermental and not to say there may not have been other causes. So there was this old motoski that someone had abandoned with a miki on it and I wondered if a fit could be done , if the throat size was close together with some jetting.. occasionally ,I have little to do. That's not to say my other sled couldn't use some TLC..
