I've come over to the Yellow side!
Well I get to change my login address again for the 3rd time in 4 years. Was on Polaris until I owned a 2005 Fusion 900 and switched the following season to a Yamaha Apex and now next season I will be on a 2008 Renegade X 600. I hope I have better luck with it than my last two models. The Fusion was just junk, the Apex was the best running engine I ever had on a sled, but had suspension issues which got annoying, hopefully the new XP will be the answer or I will have to switch to Cat,I hope not! Never once thought I'd be going through all brands in my life maybe in under 10 years! I'd go back to Yamaha again I think before I'd think of buying a Cat. The Nytro next year is a fun sled, but with my long mileage riding wasn't confident enough in the 7.4 gallon gas tank and the new suspension. I wanted a 136" track too,but actually is 137". I can only wait and see,I'm pretty confident in my choice though. Let you all know about it next season.

Awe come on man Cats are good sleds....At least they've been great for me. But if I Ever switched, I would have to go with Ski-Doo.Those are the only two I would ever consider.

you will never go back.
if you like agricultural quality engineering, fit and finish, stay with cat or polaris.
if you like quality engineering, fit and finish, stay with skidoo or Yamaha.

Did you consider the 800R comming off a 900 and an apex those sleds have more power. Good choice on doo tho.

Honestly,no, I didn't want to spend the big bucks anymore for not necessarily a whole lot more. It costs too much to buy a big sled and insure it and I just don't need it. The 600's are just as quick as the big ones except on top end,but I don't get too many places to crank it wide open, honestly I don't care to. The Apex was one of the nicest running sleds I ever owned, but for all the long riding I do,I needed something that gets better mileage and I had my share of issues on it too. I wanted fuel injection too. They say the 800 has almost too much power on the new chassis,so the 600 should be a blast I figure. My 900 came no where near the Apex as far as power, put it this way,600's beat it all day long! It will be tough sometimes not having that steady,strong,4 stroke power at the tip of my thumb anymore, but I'm sure I will not regret what I bought in the end. A 600 is plenty powerful on the trails, maybe even quicker because of weight.

I think I've switched myself to the doo's. After riding my son's MXZ with that suspension, I fell in love again!
