780 Triple into a 670 '94 Mach 1

Hey everyone... I have a 1994 Mach 1 with a 670 under the hood. I blew the motor this winter, and I was debating on what to do about it.

I have a question about the Mach 1 and Mach Z. When did Bombardier switch the name??? There's a guy that claims he has a 1994 Mach Z with a 780 triple for sale. So I'm confused, wouldn't my Mach 1 be the same?? And wouldn't his sled be a Mach 1, not a Mach Z?

Anyways, the Mach Z is in rough shape (he hit a tree), but I'm thinking about buying it for the motor, and swapping the motor into my sled. Is this a direct bolt in???

I'm also looking for opinions on the '94 780 triple? Should I rebuild the 670?? What kind of performance mods can I do to get some real power from the 670?? Or should I just go for the triple?

Thanks!

Im not sure but i dont thing the 780 will bolt in. its a tripe the 670 is a twin so ones bigger then the other. Also Id Most like rebuilt the 670 there a great motors. and theres alot of things u could do to get that sled to really move with a 670 motor.

Mach Z's are triples. Your Mach 1 is a twin. I think the Z has wider engine mounts.

Thanks for the replies guys!!! I appreciate it.

I'm assuming it's going to take a little bit of work to get the 780 into my sled. Hmmmmmm...

You will need a large jar of vaseline and a shoehorn.
