MXZ 600 engine light on

My husband has a 2004 MXZ and the engine light started blinking. It still runs really good. Is there anything he can check before we have to take to the dealership.

The blinking is a code, write down the blinks and call a dealer with the code.

Did he do anything to the sled? A lot of guys tear into it and forget to plug a sonsor back in when they're done (me being one of them). If he didn't, than check the connections on the sensors, if they're all good and connected than bring it to the dealer to have the code read.
