800 rev with a mind of it's own

I have an 2006 800h.o. rev mountian sled and it got a little wet, now it randomly goes into reverse on its own while your riding!!! has any one heard of this? how can you fix it??

Never heard of this. If I had to guess I would say there's water in a connection shorting it out. Check all your connections.

yes its a problem thats common when they get wet. there is a connection which gets water in it coming out of the dash by the computer i believe, need to take the plug apart, shake or blow the water out and reconnect using di-electric grease to prevent more water from getting in there.

I talked to a couple of other people who have had the problem and found out that the reverse button on the handle bars was the place to look. Sure enough there was water. Thank god for corrosion block.
