i have a '98 ski-doo mxz, and i was wondering if the oil injection pumps are known for goin in them. if anyone has any informtion please let me know thank you.

I have never had any trouble with mine. I would wait and fix it when it breaks.

There is nothing wrong with 1998 mxz oil pumps.

I worked in the m/cycle trade for 13.5 years and all injector pumps in my eyes are 100% reliable. They would only cause problems when people tinkered who knew squat on there adjustments etc (so to say)

i broke one a few years ago, but beyond that have never had a problem with an oil inj. pump

I worked in the motorcycle trade also(7 years) and seen 1 go on a 4 wheeler in the whole time.Most of the time its someone putting motor oil in them,or someone dropping the little disk seal off the cap of the oil in there.Don't worry about it,if it goes out play the lotto cuz you got SOME luck LOL.
