The last two rides I have been on my machine has ate two belts. The first one was just a big chunk out of the ribbed back and it shook my hands like no other. Second tore off the entire ribbed back and after cutting some bands ran just fine. Why would my sled go through so many belts. They are stock bombardier belts. I was riding hard but not much more than its ever been through before.

well first thing is did you brake your belts in correctly? second, are your clutches aligned properly? it sounds to me like you could have either issue, the tops of belts separate due to overheating, if you did not brake it in properly and pounded it too much it could go, as well as if the clutches were mis-aligned the belt will overheat and let loose.
Check your clutch alignment. No sled should eat belts that fast even without breaking them in properly. But for future reference break in your belts because they'll last a hell of a lot longer.
"Warm up" the belt by keeping the throttle at about quarter speed for a mile before you get on it hard. This will allow the belt to warm up and become more flexible before hard use.
Think you got belt problems, see 2007 summit X models. Heat, Heat, Heat. Poor design. 350 miles, 3 belts. Western riding, deep snow, 7000 elev. What gives. We know how to break in belts. Yours does sound like an alignment problem.
