Change the plugs, get an inline spark tester to see if it has good spark. You can get one at any auto parts store.

Get an inline tester next. That way you can tell for SURE what side is messed up , etc.

Did you try unhooking the key/kill switches? If you did and still no spark, it's either the coil, CDI or stator, in that order.

i do have the ignition unpluged. the kill switch on the handle bar is smashed and just the wires r there i made sure that they dont arc but when i disconnected the ignition and put my fingure on the wires i felt power there, i moved my fingure and still no spark i think the stator is good my guess is either coil or cdi. see i was riding in one day and it was kind of warm, 35 degrees, it bogged down and then i stoped and the engine died. then i had no spark, i pulled it into my garage and left it/ in about an hour i went back and it had spark and it ran but it seemed like i had a fouled plug it only ran good when it was half throtle or full. so i fired it up and moved it into my yard and left it for a week then i came home from work and wanted to go riding so i tried it and it only tried to start on one cylinder i pulled the plugs and it had great spark. so next day i got new plugs and put them in and now nothing. so much for a good free sled.

have you checked "all" your wires for breaks or rubbing through? make sure you move and feel around wires i over looked my problem for 2 weeks and i looked ar the wires everytime. they rubbed backside clean on driveshaft.

it might be a b**** to get at...but if theres one thing ive learned here is have patience take a break, sit back and make a checklist of all the things you have checked..then check them again....i know i wish my son could of rewired one side of my problem almost had to pull everything off motor so my fat lil hands could get to the wires.
