Lots of smoke?

Ok my 02 mxz 800 blows alot of smoke, more than normal for a 2 stroke. I have a Polaris 700 on the trailer next to it and I start them both up and they both smoke initially but after about 20-30 secs the polaris stops smoking but the ski-doo just keeps on smoking and after i shut them off there is a dark oily spot where the skidoo exhaust comes out on the trailer. It seems to me there is too much oil going in, but I am not a big 2 stroke expert so I neither why its doing that or how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

first thing is to check and see if your oil cable may have gotten snagged on the lever or somewhere else. i have seen this before. check the lever for free movement. then check the oil lever adjustment. there is a line on the lever and it should correspond to a line on the pump body at idle.

After checking oil injection system and making shure it is set properly, you might consider a quality 100% synthetic oil. Most are smokeless, also clean power valves, change plugs. I hope this helps.
