Anyone have ohm specs on an 84 Safari? It has good compression,been through the carb a couple times.It lacks power,the warmer it gets the slower it gets,it tops out at about 20mph at best and only gets slower.I think the Stator is on its way out but can't find specs anywhere.

Sure it's not the coil? Look at the spark plugs when it starts to slow down. Is one or both wet and oily looking?

I did try another coil,and it did the same exact thing. I'm pretty sure it is the stator but hate to spend $125.00 on it without testing it.If it tests god the only thing left would be the CDI. I also bypassed all the kill switches and tried it like that also but nothing changed.

Go for the stator. CDI's are good or completely bad, period.
