99 MXZ 670 HO question

dont know anything about these sleds, but hear they are rare. have a chance to buy one with 3000 miles,in used but not abused condition for 900 bucks. it does need a track and a little detail work, seems to run fine and everything works. will be replacing my 94 mach 1 670, is this a good upgrade and a fair price, or should i just keep the old mach? mostly just ditch and trail riding when we have snow. thanks

Sounds like a good price but i wouldn't call it a rare sled there is lots around.

It was that last year of the 670 in the MXZ, don't think that makes it rare.

That is a good price even with needing a new track.
With a stock 99 track i would probably see that listed in the paper for close to 2k around me.

It's not too rare, but they're fast as hell. The 99' was the only year of the 670 HO.
I picked one up last summer in mint condition for $3000 Canadian, so 900 bucks would be a steal if all it needs is some TLC and a new track.

I raced a 670 h.o. and destroyed it but who knows if it was dialed in, it would definatly take me top end but till 90 mph he was not even in sight. I like to find another one to see how fast they really are.

I sold my brother a '94 Mach 1, it's a 670. Bought an '03 800 REV (the Blair Morgan mentioned below). We ran them, I thought I had smoked the 670 with my 800. When I turned my head to see just how bad I beat him, he was just within about 30 yards of me. Both sleds stock. This either says a whole lot about the 670, or not too much about the 800. My opinion since I owned both, they are both wicked fast and a blast to ride. One of the reasons that I now am partial to "The Doo's". Love torque and speed!!
