i have a 98 formula 3 700 triple i don't need as much top end it is radared at 114 mph i would like more low end for and trails with a top speed of 105 mph does anyone know what the factory gears are and what the math is to figer out what gears i need

just drop one tooth on the top gear, that will pull you off the corners better. and it will help to set your driven clutch up with about 18-20LBS preload.

And by only dropping one tooth you shouldn't need to get a shorter chain. The tensioner should still take up the slack. I'd probably get a new chain while in there, though.

i make my own chain so the lenght is not a problem how does u set the clutch like that i've never played with chutchs before
