Question Why do these two sleds have different names?

I was fooling around on this site that can compare any two year/make/model sled,s specs side by side and I came up with this one.

2000 Ski-Doo Touring SLE Snowmobiles vs 2000 Skandic

Is it just me or did ski-doo just put a differ name on these sleds?

Different types of front shocks?

Might be other changes they don't list like rear shocks and gearing. Skandic is $100 less and has 1" less of travel in the front.

As freakshow12 already noted, the Skandic is more of a work related sled. Note the rack behind the backrest.

the front supension is different, look at the widths.....the touring is wider, which makes sense.

The Skandic also has a Hi/Low range for towing heavy loads like a Groomer.
