1998 Formula III 600 chain drive

What is the stock size of the chain (length and width) and drive gears (upper and lower) in a 1998 Formula III 600 triple. Looking to go down 1 tooth in the upper. Also, do i have to change my chain to go down just one tooth size??

I have clutch mods and V-Force 3 reeds installed already. I am putting in a camoplast predator 1.25" track and possibly changing jet size as well. I am trying to get some more torque to the ground.

Thanks for the help.

The stock length is 72 links. Going down one link should be OK, the tensioner should be able to take up the slack of one link.

Ok. Thanks a lot for the quick response. You mean going down one tooth right? And the tensioner should be able to take care of that?

Any idea what the width might be? I believe it is 15. I dont have the sled handy right now, (still away in storage, can't wait to get out riding) so i can't count it myself, but i want to get these parts ordered.

I'm almost positive it's 15, but not sure.

You can't put the gear on until you get the sled anyways. Wait until you get the sled, take off the chain case cover and count the plates. Than go buy the sprocket.
