Mod Mach 1 670 Setup Question

Hi Guys;

Considering all things equal, how would you pro's rate this setup. I'm 175lbs. What is the difference between gearing it 24/44 or 24/43
as opposed to 26/44 26/43?

1993 Mach 1 670

53/47 Progressive Helix
Erlandson "Yellow" Prim. Spring
280 Ramps / 18gr pins
Beige spring on STOCK Secondary (suggested Secondary off 98" MXZ 670?)

24/44 or 26/43 gearing
Stock pipe & Can (Have Crankshop Duals w/ stingers)
91 Octane
Flex Plastic Skis

501 Rotary Valve (169Deg)
40mm Mikunis (44's?)
Shorty boots off 98"-99" MXZ 670HO
121 x 15 - 1" track w' 122 Roetin studs

I have now 2 not 1 MXZ 600's and a damned ZRT after me for fast trails.
I wont upgrade till a few years, I love these black demons ..lol. Pic was from today.

It's all about the takeoff and top speeds. You'll go one way or the other, depending on how you set it up. Do you want more off the line or top speed? I have a 92 Mach 1 that I'll NEVER sell. I love the looks of them!

Thumbs up Tradeoff

Hi SmallEngineguy;

I will run FAST trails 90% with small lake bursts. What I'm after
is killer acceleration to 90mph. After that I can let the guys pass.
I believe thats its easier to stay ahead when you start ahead.

Better backshifting is a goal too. Does that BEIGE spring seem right
if I leave in the stock secondary? What about the setup list?
Opinions.

I'm also running a beige spring in my 98 Mach Z 800. It freakin rips! Unfortunately I'm not that good at clutching, etc. Maybe someone else here can help? I went to DOOTalk - All Ski Doo ~ All the time and got a lot of answers there.
