Changing the timing

I am trying to help a friend. I have programmed many cars to change the timing and fuel mapping of electronically controlled vehicles. He wants to change the timing on his Skidoo sled. I believe that it is a 04 rev 800. He said that he was able to send his "timing box" to someone and they tweaked his timing, but are any of you cracking into these and adjusting timing via a laptop or similiar? I will try to get more specifics tomorrow. TIA

Arctic Cat F7's timing can be advanced by using offset flywheel keys.........they're available in 2* & 4* advance. Can't get any simpler, but when you advance timing, better be using 91 ROM fuel or else PFFFFFT!!

doos dont like timing keys so much. you can send the box back to brp to the race dept and they will reprogram it for you for a price. around 300 I think.

Freak Show, my friend has already sent his box in and had it reprogrammed. He said it was definately worth the money. We would like to find out how they are doing the reprogramming. I know that DIYer's are programming just about everything else out there that has an engine on it. I just thought that you guys might have some insight on it.....
