Ventilation

Last year I ran hot in granular snow while riding slow with my nephew. I have a 2014 backcountry X 8ooR E-tec. I was thinking on adding a vent kit. On the kit it says only for racing. So what are the draw backs . Is to much ventilation not a good thing? Has anyone done a mod like this?

Running hot means that it was not getting enough snow thrown onto the exchangers.
If it was off trail, check that there was not an ice bridge built up there.
On trail, add scratchers.

scratchers are typically enough.

There are also different kinds of vent kits. One replaces the filters with finer filters to keep snow out (more like the air intake vents on yours).

They also have kits to cool the clutches which helps with belt life.
