stator

finally got my sled looked at and turns out the stator and pickup assembly need to be replaced. I was quoted $500 for parts and labor and was looking for a cheaper fix. Is it worth trying to get my stator rebuilt? and what can I do for the pickup assembly?

Did he say what the problem with them was with the stator/pick up??? You can do the work yourself and save some money on labour.

I haven't been down to talk with them in detail and check it out the problem. Over the phone they said the parts tested okay some times then not and eventually they took them out and realized they were the problem. I already decided not to have the dealer fix them so maybe I can check it out myself.
