have problem starting my 583 rave

when i start my engine it run for a few second then it dies. But it idle 1000 rpm. when i get it to start after 15 min of cranking it idle at 4000 rpm.

when i ride the sled goes faster at half throttle then full throttle.
I check my spark plug and they are nice tan color.

the carb on the left side as a 290 mj and 45 pilot jet and the one on the exhaust side as 300 mj and 45 pilot jet
the air filters are two k&n connected directly to the carb and the muffler is strait pipe. I don't know this sled to well since i bought it last week and it havent run for 1 1/2 years.

When your trying to start it and if it does shut off at 1000rpm try starting with the throttle in and letting off when it starts. Also you can just pushing th primer once or twice right when it starts up, thats what usually works for me. Sometimes theres little air bubbles in the lines that dont get out when you first prime it. As for your throttle problem im not sure whats wrong but im sure someone else will. Good Luck!

Do a compression test on it. Straight pipe probably cooked the exhaust side of the pistons.
