Hard to Start

Hi,

I have a 1995 Skido Fornula SL 500. It is extremely hard to start for 1st time each day. I have to remove plugs and spray in a little quick start, then it starts, but still takeas about 10 pulls.

I changed the plugs and it is getting a good spark, plunger appears to be getting gas into cylinders. Any Ideas on what I can do ?

Thanks,
Doug

does your sled have a choke, or a primer. sounds like your carbs are dirty, cuz its not getting gas till u prim it with starting fluid in the holes which gets the suction going. maybe your fuel pump too.

Have you checked compression on each cylinder?

Try holding the throttle down when you start it. Ive got the same problem and that helps to get it started quicker. Just becarefull not to hold the throttle down once its started or bye bye sled. hope that helps
