583 skidoo

I came across a 1997 583 skidoo that looks to be in very good shap one small scratch on the hood. The selling price is 1600.00 dollars. It has 8000 miles on it I was wondering if that is to much for this sled or if they have any problems with this model

thats deffinately not too much. those 583's are pretty fast sleds, and from what i hear, pretty reliable.

i love my 583. i would try and talk him down some, but i can't stand paying what someones asking. use the miles as leverage and look for every little thing that is wrong. 1600 isn't too bad though.

you could probably get a couple hundred bucks off of that price but regardless it is a good deal. last season my cousin put about 2,000 trouble free miles on a 93 formula plus 583. the 583 is argueably one of ski doo's best engines in my opinion.

by the way is it an MXZ 583 or a Formula Z?

id try to talk him down that seems kinda steep for a 9 year old sled with 8000 miles on it, but from what I hear the 583 was one of the most reliable if not the most reliable motors rotax ever put out
