Angry mxz renegade cover probs....

I just bought a new 05 mxz 800 renegade and ordered a ski doo cover for it. When I put the cover on it was way to short. The guys at the local dealer told me that ski doo does'nt make a cover that goes over the trunk. They're telling me I have to take my trunk on and off to use a ski doo cover. The sled comes with the trunk!!!!! Anyone have this problem and found an easy solution?

Thanks, Gordon

My cover fits fine over my trunk on my '04 adrenaline. I think they're the same sled only yours has a longer track. I didn't even know the trunk came off easily. Which cover did you order? Try get a picture on here, it's kind of hard to picture since ski-doo makes many different covers.

There are two morals to this story. First, When you want something done right, do it yourself and dont rely on employees. Second, a dealership will tell you anything to come up with some sort of answer even if it's totally out in left field.
I pulled the cover back out of its box and put it on in about thirty seconds. Fits perfect!!! Sorry for the dud post. How embarassing for the first post I've made hear.

Later, Gordon

It's okay we all make mistakes. But the dealer thing is true. They always have to have an answer even if it's wrong, and it usually ends up screwing you over.

Welcome to the forum!

that is definately true, the place i was at today to try to get the proper moveable sheave bushing for my sled after they gave me the wrong one, but they tried to tel me that was the only one for the type of clutch i had, even though it wouldnt fit in my clutch, so i said whatever the hell with it and went to the actual dealership and bought a factory one instead of the aftermarked one to go with the rest of the rebuild kit, paid 15 bucks, and got the proper one.
