Damn formula Plus X

I have a 1992 Formula Plus X.

Last year I hit a manhole cover several times and messed up the front end.
The trailing arm was bent out of shape and the lower right are is cracked and wont hold the ball joint that connects to the trailing arm.

This sled is a limited edition and only 250 were made.
I found out that the parts have been discontinued.

I found a new trailing arm but cant find the lower arm.

I am fairly new to snowmobiling. ANy idea where I can find this part.
Last year I called many salvage yards with no luck. I also checked with several dealers and no luck there either.

Any Idea where I can find this part.

If I would take the sled to my local dealer what would they do to repair it or would they just tell me that they can't fix it.

Any help would be great

Merry Christmas

Mike

im sure it has common parts, find out what the chassis name is, and im sure parts from similar sleds will be interchangeable

also, how did you manage to hit the manhole cover SEVERAL times??

i dont know where you are located, but in ontario theres a place called J.T.'s and they have a fiarly good selection of USED parts, but for new parts either a dealer or maybe like a royal distributing will stock them.

I've checked with dealers and they dont have the part and say that Ski-Doo discontinued the part.

I am going to call the manufacturer tomorrer to see if the part is used on any other model that they still make parts for.

I hope this works.

I miss my sled....

Go to www.hlsm.com and find the parts on the microfiche. Let us know what you need. Maybe someone can help you.

Oops....I was looking at the wrong part. But...I called a dealer here in NH who is awesome with this stuff. He said that the difference between yours and a Mach 1 is there was an extra hole drilled in yours. You may want to order one for a Mach 1 and drill it, or remove your left side one and have one made like it. They WERE discontinued quite a while ago. You may want to try www.alssnowmobile.com and see if they might have a used one for it.
