ok heres the story, i picked up a 94 Mach 1 for 200 bucks, i was told it would run, i got it home drained out the old gas put in fresh gas and new plugs and sure enough after 20 pulls or so it started up. It ran good for about an hour. And then it died out, like it was out of gas, there was still gas in it. After trying every thing I started to think the worst, so ripped off the head and sure enough the cylinder opposite of the drive belt was toast, half of the upper piston ring was blown apart and no where to be found, the head it real nicked up and the cylinder has some scores. I am hoping somone on here might have a head they would like to get rid of and maybe even a cylinder for a 94 mach 1 670.

where are you located? in ontario J.T.'s has a good selection of used parts, cylindars are fairly cheap there apparently.

sorry i dont think they have a website, best i could do for ya is a phone number, but you would have to drive all the way up there for parts becasue they dont deliver either as far as I know.

u picked it up for 200 bucks? something was probably ready to go and he probably knew it... id go back there and tell him it blew up in the first hour of riding, make sure theres oil left in it first though.

it was taking oil, but the piston looked burned, so maybe the carb on that side was not getting oil? i don't know how that injection works.

if the top of the piston is burned, thats a good thing, it means it was getting oil, when the pison is cleaned, thats when it wasnt getting any, learned that from my old sled last year,when the oil injector unplugged from the cylinder ad didnt get any oil to that side.

if it was getting oil and blew up the first hour u rode it... go give itback to the guy and tell him to shove it up his a** and you want your money back!

I assumed there wouldn't be a big demand for parts since it is almost a dinosaur and probably whipped.

yes you can, theres a for sale and wanted section in this forum, but i don't know about you, but if someone sold me a sled that was about to blow up i'd be going back there instead of trying to part it out after it blew up.
