Hard Starting 440 MXZ?

I bought a 2000 440 MXZ last year, and it runs great, but I'm used to my old 377 Safari starting on one or two pulls after priming it with the "pump" style primer. My MXZ, has the choke, and is a lot stiffer pulling over, especially when it's nearing zero degrees.
Can a primer like my Safari be installed on my MXZ, or does anyone have any suggestions on getting it starting it easier.
It was 40 degrees today, and I had to pull it about 6 times before it started, but it does run great.
Thanks for any tips!

They make a primer kit for sleds. www.denniskirk.com has them.

try choking the sled before you shut it down, adds a little extra fuel for the next startup

what did you expect when yo bought a SKI-DOO? next time by a polaris... .. put it this way... my sled is 11 years older than yours is, and this year on the one night that the temperature dropped to -20C, i went out at about 8 in the morning, and fired her up... first pull.

I think the only sled I've ever seen that is harder to start than my cousins mxz500 is my brothers 550 polaris supersport.

I don't know what it is, but my cousin has a 00 mxz 500 and it's a pain in the a$$ to start sometimes. After it's running, it runs great. But sometimes I have to shut mine down to wait for him to get her going.

to be honest, of all my sleds and my friends sleds, we all have ski doo's, there was only one we have ever had a problem with starting, that was the 02 MXZ700 dont know why, all others are first or second pull machines
