I grease my sled once a year before the season starts. Depending on how much you ride that should be enough. as for the number of grease fittings i'm not exactly sure. There are roughly half a dozen for the rear suspesion. for the front (on my sled anyways) there is one for each ski right below the torsion bars on the post. The most important one on the entire sled is for the cog bearing which is located under the hood below the clutch right near the speedometer cable. Then there are two more under the hood located a few inches in front of the engine down in the belly pan. Those are for the steering components which you'll probably have to feel around for. your best bet for the rear suspension is to get the back of the sled lifted up and look under there with a flash light. they're in pretty conspicuous places.
