40 mm carbs

My sled came stock with 38's. I am thinking about trying some 40's, will this help or just cause issues? It is a 494 and i want to get some more out of it with out spending lots of dough

Thanks

I think there was a thread about this already. I don't really know the answer to your question but give it some time and SEG will find you. He knows everything and anything. Except that a seized engine is really caused by an oil cap in the clutch!

Bigger carbs won't help, it'll just flood more. If you do bigger in, you gotta do bigger out. Bigger carbs=bigger exhaust/porting. Clutching is the best bang for the buck.
